Plants

Children show an interest in plants if they play with their leaves, bark or wood, or ask questions about how they work. Some babies have a strong interest in plants and can spend hours crawling through gardens and inspecting the fine details of every leaf.

Plants are truly amazing and they are essential for all humans to stay healthy and happy. Early childhood programs can teach children about this through nature play and child-led investigations.

The Interest Forest

The Interest Forest was created by a small team of Australian early childhood teachers. We believe in less paperwork and more play.

We have collected hundreds of children's interests, linked to the EYLF, to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of your program. We hope you enjoy exploring our Forest of interest topics.
